Chilli Oil Noodles: 3 Easy Recipes

Updated 1 November 2026 · OmniCart Malaysia

If you have noodles and a jar of crunchy garlic chilli oil, dinner is basically done. Here are three easy chilli oil noodle recipes — one classic, one garlicky, one cold — ready in about ten minutes.

Why chilli oil noodles work

Good chilli oil already has the flavour built in — fragrant oil, crispy garlic, real heat — so you barely have to cook. A ready crunchy garlic chilli oil like Fany’s Crunchy Garlic Chilli Oil does the heavy lifting; you just boil noodles and toss.

The base (for all three)

Boil your noodles of choice — instant noodles, egg noodles, or even spaghetti — and drain, keeping a splash of the cooking water. In the serving bowl, add 1–2 tablespoons of chilli oil (stir the jar first to catch the crispy bits), a little soy sauce, and a pinch of sugar.

Recipe 1: Classic chilli oil noodles

  1. Add the hot drained noodles to the sauce in the bowl.
  2. Loosen with a spoon of the noodle water.
  3. Toss until every strand is coated and glossy.
  4. Top with spring onion. Done.

Recipe 2: Garlicky spicy noodles with egg

  1. Fry or soft-boil an egg.
  2. Make the classic noodles above, adding an extra spoon of the crispy garlic from the jar.
  3. Slide the egg on top and let the yolk run into the noodles.

Recipe 3: Cold chilli oil noodles

  1. Boil the noodles, then rinse under cold water and drain well.
  2. Toss with chilli oil, soy, a splash of vinegar and a little sesame oil.
  3. Add cucumber ribbons and serve cold — great for a hot day.

Which chilli oil to use

Regular (6/10) suits most people and lets the garlic shine. If you love heat, go X-tra Spicy (9/10). For even more serving ideas, see 12 ways to use garlic chilli oil and chilli oil vs chilli crisp vs sambal.
