A Beginner's Home Dumbbell Workout — No Gym Needed
You do not need a gym or a rack of weights to get stronger at home — one adjustable pair of dumbbells and fifteen minutes will do. Here is a simple full-body routine for beginners.
What you need
One pair of dumbbells is enough to start. A set like the pelpo Dumbbell Set (it comes as a pair, in 1/2/3 kg) is ideal for home — light enough to learn form, heavy enough to feel it.
The 15-minute full-body routine
Do 10–12 reps of each, rest 30–60 seconds, and repeat the circuit 2–3 times:
- Goblet squat — hold one dumbbell at your chest, squat down and up. Legs.
- Dumbbell row — hinge forward, pull the weights to your ribs. Back.
- Shoulder press — press both dumbbells overhead. Shoulders.
- Chest press — lie on the floor, press up. Chest.
- Bicep curl — curl both arms up and down. Arms.
Tips to progress safely
- Form first — slow and controlled beats heavy and sloppy.
- Start lighter than you think; add weight only when 12 reps feel easy.
- Train 2–3 times a week with a rest day in between.
